Macaulay Langstaff makes Kyle Cameron point after dramatic Notts County win at Maidenhead

Macaulay Langstaff explained just how important Kyle Cameron's involvement in Notts County's fourth goal against Maidenhead as the red hot striker netted his 21st goal of the campaign at York Road.

The 25-year-old hit 20 goals for the season in the first half, sweeping home an excellent Magpies move which put Luke Williams' side 3-1 up at half time.

But Emile Acquah and Kane Ferdinand's strikes drew the game level, however Langstaff was on hand to acrobatically steer the ball beyond Daniel Gyollai to confirm three priceless points.

The Notts skipper was at his brilliant best on Saturday afternoon, providing the assist for Ruben Rodrigues' opener before delivering an inch-perfect cross late on for the Magpies number nine.

Langstaff explained he knows Cameron has the quality to deliver from the wide areas, insisting the 25-year-old did all the hard work in the build-up to the late winner.

"He has the quality, we have seen it all season and when he gets into that little channel, I pull out in between the centre backs because I know he has the quality to deliver.

"He's done it a few times this season, it's a brilliant cross and I've just got to get good contact on it, he's done all the hard work and I am delighted for him.

Amongst the celebrations of Langstaff's first goal of the afternoon, a young fan managed to make his way onto the pitch to celebrate with the team.

In what was a wholesome moment between the fan and the team, Cameron lifted the supporter above his head which sparked a huge cheer from the away end before returning him to his family.

And Langstaff revealed he didn't acknowledge the fan until the Magpies skipper held him above his head, but enjoyed the celebration with the young supporter.

"We were celebrating and I didn't even realise he was there," explained Langstaff.

"One of the players shouted look there's a kid!

"I saw Cammy lift him in the air which was nice and it was great to see that sort of celebration, it was brilliant."
