Mac Miller's dad celebrates 'catching the motherf*****' as he breaks silence on arrest

Mac Miller's dad spoke out after a man was charged with supplying drugs to his son.

Ariana Grande's ex was found dead after a lethal cocktail of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol, aged 26 at his San Fernando Valley home on September 7 last year.

In the latest development, Cameron James Pettit, 28, was arrested on charges he allegedly dealt the counterfeit pills to the rapper two days before he had an overdose.

Now Mac's dad Mark McCormick celebrated police "catching the motherf*****" when he attended an event commemorating his late rapper son, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The devastated father picked up the microphone on Friday to let his son's fans know they had found "comfort" in the arrest.

In a recording from the event, he could be heard saying: "So they finally caught the motherf***** that sold him the drugs. And we can find some comfort in that."

Mark issued words of warning to his late son's fans as he urged them not to take drugs because it could be lethal.

He added: "Many of us who were young, including me, experiment with drugs. But it's a different f***ing world out there. All it takes is a little stone of fentanyl and cocaine and you're dead.

"Drugs are being laced with fentanyl, all kinds of drugs. The one thing I would say to you is don't take the risk. It's just not worth it."

It comes after a 42-page criminal complaint unsealed claimed Mac had asked to be given "percs", a prescribed painkiller containing oxycodone.

The complaint detailed Instagram direct messages sent between Pettit and others reacting to Mac's death.

He allegedly said: "I think I should probably not post anything… just to be smart."

Mac, whose real name was Malcolm James McCormick, died on September 7 last year.

Two months after his death the Los Angeles County Coroner's Officer revealed the rapper had fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol in his system when he died.

Mac romanced Ariana from 2016 until they finished their love story in May 2018; she moved on with Pete Davidson whom she later split from (Instagram)

Mac had been reported as battling with substance abuse in the past.

"I'm always like, if someone's like 'you wanna try this?' I'm just like 'yeah, sure'. And then it just kinda f**ks you up if you've got a bunch of money because if you try a drug, you like it, you can buy a lot of it," he told Fader magazine in 2016.

Ariana paid tribute to her late ex in her song Thank U Next which had lines about all her famous exes in it.

Although she was scathing about a few of her exes, she called Mac an "angel".

The lyric read: "Wish I could say, 'Thank you' to Malcolm/'Cause he was an angel."
