Pop star Mabel has got her eye on returning to the Love Island villa once again, but this time with a famous pal in tow.
The Don’t Call Me Up singer, 25, made her debut on the ITV2 show last year, when she performed for the likes of Faye Winter, Teddy Soares and Liberty Poole in the famous Spanish villa.
In a promotional video shared at the time, the singer - full name Mabel Alabama-Pearl McVey - said: "I have toured Europe and played at some of the most amazing music venues, but nothing quite like the Love Island villa."
Speaking ahead of performing to an 80,000 strong crowd at Capital FM Summertime Ball with Barclaycard on Sunday, the singer was very clear about her desire to appear on the reality TV show once again.
"I was literally saying 'why don't I have a residency?' I want to do it every year," the pop babe told the Mirror when discussing last year's visit to the villa.
"I'm so sad that i've already done it because I'm thinking 'Ah who is going to go in there?!"
When asked who she would take in with her if she could perform for the Islanders a second time, Mabel picked a fellow artist with many bangers also popular with the Love Island production team.
"I'd take MNEK, I'd always take bestie. MNEK," the star told us when chatting backstage at Wembley Stadium.
Mabel wasn't the only performer to discuss all things Love Island before taking to the stage on Sunday.
"I love Love Island," singer Ella Henderson - another star whose songs frequently feature on the show - confessed to us
"But I've just been on a tour around Europe and ITV [Hub] blocks Love Island so I'm so behind - don't even tell me [anything].
"I know that my songs keep getting played. I need to play catch up as I did watch the first two episodes and I feel like that's not enough to get to grips with who's who and everything."
Once she does get up to speed with what's going down in the villa, would she be up for popping in as a musical guest one episode?
"OMG yes! Yes I would," Ella excitedly answered the Mirror when asked.
"I would like to throw a little bit of scandalous news in there too and walk out!"
Elsewhere in her interview on Sunday, Mabel admitted she was looking forward to catching her one-time tour buddy Harry Styles on stage after she performed.
"I went on tour with him and I still like wanna see him," the Mad Love singer proudly mused.
"He has always been a star but watching him grow into this superstar - he's like a real-life rockstar!
She added: "I really felt that the first time I went on tour with him because I was just like watching him perform, because I had only seen him in One Direction before."
"I was like 'wow he's a rockstar' but now he's just become this global sensation in a different way.
"The album is so incredible - I'm so proud."
