Motorists travelling westbound on the M8 from Edinburgh experienced delays following an early morning collision.
The incident took place at around 7.00am on Friday October 21. Police attended the scene and there were no casualties following the crash.
Commuters travelling from Edinburgh to the west experienced delays but the road is now clear and traffic is moving faster but drivers are still advised to take care.

Sharing the incident on Twitter, a spokesperson for Traffic Scotland said: "The Westbound carriageway is currently restricted due to a collision Police and TRISS are en-route #TakeCare on approach."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police received a report of a one-vehicle road crash on the M8 near J5. There are no reports of any injuries and the road has been reopened."
