Motorists experienced delays of up to an hour this morning after a multi-vehicle crash.
Police confirmed they were called to a crash shortly after 7am on Monday, June 20. The crash took place on M62 Eastbound, between junction 7 and junction 8.
Four vehicles were reportedly involved, with officers revealing that three people were treated by paramedics at the scene. They suffered minor injuries, according to reports.

Two lanes were closed between St Helens and Warrington due to the crash, with four miles of traffic on approach from junction 6. At one point, National Highways recorded delays of an hour above average journey time.
Delays continued after emergency services helped those involved in the crash, as accident recovery work took place after an oil spillage. Merseyside fire and rescue service also attended the crash, however its services were not required.
A spokesperson for Cheshire police said: "Shortly after 7am on Monday 20 June police were called to a collision on the M62 between junction seven to junction eight.
"The collision is believed to have involved four vehicles. Three people are believed to have sustained minor injuries and were treated by paramedics. All lanes have since reopened."
