A number of motorways across Merseyside will be hit by closures at certain points this week.
Stretches of the M6, M57 and M53 will be hit by disruption as they close all lanes for maintenance and repairs. These sections of motorway will see all of their lanes closed between specific junctions, but most of the closures will take place overnight.
National Highways has told drivers to expect disruption in the affected areas. Diversions will be required.

Here's a list of the motorway closures that will affect our region this week:
Monday, June 13
- M6 southbound will be closed between junctions 26 and 23 from 9pm on June 13 to 6am on June 14
- M57 northbound will be closed between junctions 3 and 4 from 9pm on June 13 to 5am on June 14
- M57 northbound will be closed between junctions 2 and 3 from 9pm on June 13 to 5am on June 14
- M57 northbound will be closed at junction 12 from 9pm on June 13 to 5am on June 14
- M57 southbound between junctions 4 and 2 will be closed from 9pm on June 13 to 5am on June 14
Tuesday, June 14
- M53 northbound will be closed between junctions 5 and 4 from 9pm on June 14 to 5am on June 15
- M57 southbound will be closed between junctions 6 and 4 from 9pm on June 14 to 5am on June 15
- M57 northbound will be closed between junctions 4 and 6 from 9pm on June 14 to 5am on June 15
- M57 northbound will be closed at junction 4 from 9pm on June 14 to 5am on June 15
Wednesday, June 15
- M57 northbound will be closed between junctions 4 and 6 from 9pm on June 15 to 5am on June 16
- M57 southbound will be closed between junctions 6 and 4 from 9pm on June 15 to 5am on June 16
- M57 northbound will be closed at junction 4 from 9pm on June 15 to 5am on June 16
Thursday, June 16
- M57 northbound will be closed between junctions 4 and 6 from 9pm on June 16 to 5am on June 17
- M57 southbound will be closed between junctions 6 and 4 from 9pm on June 16 to 5am on June 17
- M57 northbound will be closed at junction 4 from 9pm on June 16 to 5am on June 17
Friday, June 17
- M6 southbound will be closed between junctions 22 and 21A from 9pm on June 17 to 6am on June 18
- M6 southbound will be closed between junctions 21A (from M62 eastbound) and 20 from 9pm on June 17 to 6am on June 18
- M57 northbound will be closed between junctions 1 and 3 from 9pm on June 17 to 6am on June 18
- M57 southbound will be closed between junctions 7 and 6 from 9pm on June 17 to 5am on June 18
Saturday, June 18
- M57 northbound will be closed between junctions 1 and 3 from 9pm on June 18 to 6am on June 19
- M57 northbound will be closed at junction 1 from 6am to 9pm on June 18
Sunday, June 19
- M6 southbound will be closed between junctions 22 and 21A from June 19 to 6am on June 20
- M6 southbound will be closed between junctions 21A (from M62 eastbound) and 20 from 9pm on June 19 to 6am on June 20
- M57 northbound will be closed between junctions 1 and 3 from 9pm on June 19 to June 20
- M57 northbound will be closed at junction 1 from 6am to 9pm on June 19
