Sections of the M6, M53, M56 and M57 will close over the coming week.
Motorways in Merseyside will see closures this week (Monday, January 23 - Sunday, January 29) as National Highways continue to repair the regions roads. This week there will be weekend closures overnight on the M6, M53, M56 and M57 which are expected to cause delays for motorists.
The M6 northbound between junctions 26 (Orrell) and 27 (Shevington) will be closed over the weekend along with the M56 in both directions between junctions 11 (Preston Brook) and 14 (Stoak).

Here are the motorway closures you can expect in Merseyside this week. This list is subject to changes from National Highways.
Monday, January 23
The M6 northbound between junctions 21A (Croft) and 26 (Orrell) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M6 southbound between junctions 21A (Croft) and 26 (Orrell) wlll be closed between 8.30pm and 6am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook) and 12 (Rocksavage) as well as 14 (Stoak) and 15 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M57 southbound between junctions one (Tarbock) and three (Huyton Spur)
Tuesday, January 24
The M6 northbound between junctions 21A (Croft) and 22 (Winwick) will have two lanes closed while junctions 26 (Orrell) and 27 (Shevington) will have one lane closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M6 southbound between junctions 21A (Croft) and 26 (Orrell) wlll be closed between 8.30pm and 6am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook) and 12 (Rocksavage) as well as 14 (Stoak) and 15 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
Wednesday, January 25
The M6 northbound between junctions 21A (Croft) and 22 (Winwick) will have two lanes closed while junctions 26 (Orrell) and 27 (Shevington) will have one lane closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M6 southbound between junctions 21A (Croft) and 26 (Orrell) will be closed between 8.30pm and 6am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook) and 12 (Rocksavage) as well as 14 (Stoak) and 15 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
Thursday, January 26
The M6 northbound between junctions 21A (Croft) and 22 (Winwick) will have two lanes closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M6 southbound between junctions 21A (Croft) and 26 (Orrell) will be closed between 8.30pm and 6am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook) and 12 (Rocksavage) as well as 14 (Stoak) and 15 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
Friday, January 27
The M6 northbound between junctions 21A (Croft) and 22 (Winwick) will have two lanes closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M6 southbound between junctions 21A (Croft) and 26 (Orrell) will be closed between 8.30pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound between junction three (Heswall) and four (Clatterbridge) will have two lanes closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook) and 12 (Rocksavage) as well as 14 (Stoak) and 15 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
Saturday, January 28
The M6 northbound between junctions 26 (Orrell) and 27 (Shevington) will be closed between 10pm and 7am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook) and 14 (Stoak) be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook) and 14 (Stoak) be closed between 9pm and 6am.
Sunday, January 29
The M6 northbound between junctions 26 (Orrell) and 27 (Shevington) will be closed between 10pm and 7am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook) and 14 (Stoak) be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 11 (Preston Brook) and 14 (Stoak) be closed between 9pm and 6am.
