A multi-vehicle crash has left the M50 at a standstill during rush hour this afternoon - with the fire brigade called to assist with the awful incident.
The collision occurred shortly before 4pm on the M50 southbound between Junction 5 (Finglas) and Junction 6 (Blanchardstown), with both the right and middle lanes blocked as a result.
Pictures published by the M50 Dublin Twitter account show a number of vehicles involved in the smash.
They said: "Emergency services are on scene at a collision S'bound between J5 Finglas and J6 Blanch. Currently the right and middle lanes are blocked"
