Police have shared a shocking image of a food delivery cyclist illegally cycling down a motorway.
Anyone ordering online like their meals to arrive as soon as possible. But not even the hungriest customer would expect their delivery rider to take to the M5, reports Gloucestershire Live.
Police shared the picture on Twitter and said the rider was dealt with "appropriately." The image was taken in the late afternoon of Bank Holiday Monday when the routes were heavily congested with people returning home from their holidays.
The tweet said: "Up there with things not to do on the Motorway, especially on a busy bank holiday. JUST DON'T! Rider dealt with appropriately."

The colour of the cyclist's clothing and backpack are orange, the same colour worn by people delivering for Just Eat. Last March, a Just Eat delivery rider was filmed cycling along a busy motorway near the infamous Spaghetti Junction. Motorist Matthew Bowater, 43, spotted the man pedalling on the hard shoulder of the M6 near Birmingham on Sunday (6/3).
Matthew, from Birmingham, called police after his dashcam recorded the rider as he made his way along the 70mph stretch of motorway at 3.15pm. He said: "I was travelling up the M6 North and was just singing along to some music.
Motorway rules
A motorway on the other is a multi-lane high speed carriageway with junctions, limitations on use and limited side roads. For obvious reasons, cyclists are not allowed on motorways.
Under the Road Traffic Act 1998, dangerous cycling comes with a maximum fine of £2,500, with cyclists facing a £1,000 fine for careless cycling.
