Motorists travelling from Wales into England are facing delays of up to an hour after a lorry caught fire on the M5.
The motorway was closed southbound after the incident between junction 17 A4018 (Cribbs Causeway) and junction 18 M49 near Avonmouth, which happened at around 6.30am on Wednesday, BristolLive reports.
While all lanes on the M5 reopened shortly after 9am, there are still residual delays of 60 minutes above normal journey times and over eight miles of congestion, according to National Highways.

The incident also caused large tailbacks on the M4.
There have been no casualties reported, with the driver of the lorry able to get out of the vehicle and escape the fire, but six appliances from Avon Fire and Rescue Service were sent to the scene from Avonmouth, Patchway and Southmead.
Local residents were woken by "explosion sounds" caused by the vehicle fire on Wednesday morning, with others reporting hearing "three massive bangs and sirens coming from Avonmouth".
Resident Elena Gospodinova told Bristol Live: "I was just making my coffee at 6:30am and I heard three bomb sounds where I live. It was very loud and vibrating was felt after.
"My son got scared, he heard it too. He thought we are under attack."
During the incident, a spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to multiple reports of a lorry on fire at 6.26am.
"The lorry is well alight. Six appliances were deployed to the scene from Avonmouth, Patchway, and Southmead. No casualties have been reported in the incident. The driver was out of the vehicle. The Avonmouth slip road is closed."
