A major incident is set to cause further disruption on the M1 as emergency works are underway. National Highways England has warned drivers of a lane closure between J30 Sheffield and J31 Worksop on the M1 northbound on Saturday, March 11.
It comes after a large fire on Friday, March 11. Fire crews were called to the scene of a crane fire.
The road was closed throughout the night to facilitate a complex recovery and clear-up operation following the earlier 113 tonne crane fire. Lane one of four will remain closed throughout the day, National Highways England said.
