M&S worker, 21, living in fear as he's attacked and 'laughed at' by seagulls every day walking to work

A 21-year-old man has shared his horror after being attacked by seagulls every day on his way to work. Taylor James from Lancaster walks the same route to his job as a customer assistant at Marks and Spencer and frequently encounters the angry birds.

Taylor filmed the most recent attack on July 25 after a seagull began following him - and the video has since gone viral on TikTok. Whilst recording the incident on his phone, the M&S worker begins frantically running away from the bird who can be heard squawking at him.

But before he can get away, the seagull begins to dive-bomb him several times, narrowly missing his head. As he reveals that this sort of scenario happens 'most mornings', Taylor jokes that it is a 'hate crime' as people point out the seagulls are 'laughing' at him.

"Basically, most mornings when I’m on my way to work / to catch the train, I walk down past the back of some houses and I can feel the seagulls staring at me and waiting for me to come," Taylor told NeedToKnow.Online.

"I try act calm but literally they start diving at me and that’s when I have to start running.

"As a gay boy who doesn’t ever do sport, the running part is the worst bit.

"I literally have a massive fear of seagulls now, my mum is petrified of anything that flies and I really get why now."

Since sharing the incident on the social media platform TikTok, the video has racked up more than 250,000 views and 41,000 likes.

Users on TikTok have been left in stitches, branding the moment as "hilarious".

One viewer wrote: "THIS IS THE FUNNIEST TIKTOK I HAVE EVER SEEN OMG."

"That’s hilarious because it WAITS for you. As in he/she (but let’s be real he) knows your commute and waves up excited to see you," another one said.

One user joked: "Why you running, he just wants to tell you something,"

"Nahhh he is definitely laughing at you I've never heard them make that noise before like that," said someone else.

It also seems Taylor is not the only one to have had such a close encounter with the species.

Someone else wrote: "Im dead this happened to my man on holiday and he got s**t on on purpose I saw the aim it was precise."

"Aww bless you my boyf had EXACTLY the same thing. Just him. It didn't do it to anyone else. I would advise getting an umbrella! they have sharp feet!" another user wrote.

Taylor added: I posted the video on my way to work, didn’t use TikTok all day and went back on after like a eight-hour shift and couldn't believe it.

"I said to my mum, Bev, 'I can't believe so many people have seen that I get mugged off by a seagull', haha!"
