M&S shoppers say new adorable Easter treat is 'too cute to eat'

With Easter just a month away, Marks and Spencer have released an adorable chocolate treat that shoppers say they "need".

As well as stocking plenty of Egg-shaped chocolates for the holiday, the retailer is also selling Curly the Cockapoo who is "man's best friend in chocolate form".

The puppy is made from 155g of milk and white chocolate, with a pink nose and big brown chocolate eyes and costs just £6 in all UK stores. After sharing the new product on social media, customers quickly became buzzed with excitement.

Posting a sweet snap of Curly on the M&S Instagram, a pairing caption read: "Introducing Curly the Puppy – man’s best friend in chocolate form. Our adorable little pooch is made from milk and white marbled chocolate, and comes in 100 per cent plastic-free packaging.

"He’s the paw-fect Easter treat for a dog parent."

One commenter said that they "absolutely need one" this Easter. Another said: "Looks so real!!, while a third penned: "Well that's Easter sorted this year".

Many shoppers were taken in my Curly's cuteness, even comparing him to their own pets. But it was perhaps for this reason that others can't bring themselves to try it.

One comment read: "I could get on board with the caterpillar as it wasn’t that true to life, but now you want me to eat a dog?" Another asked: "But who could bring themselves to eat him?" A dog-obsessed commenter simply said: "Curly is too cute to eat".

This year, Marks and Spencer have become more experimental with their seasonal products. Curly isn't the only non-conventional Easter food on sale from the retailer.

The company has also launched a BLT Hot Cross bun - a new sandwich that has the traditional fixings of a BLT but nestled in between a savoury hot cross bun instead of classic bread.

Curly the Cockapoo costs £6 and is available in all Marks and Spencer Foodhalls, or can be purchased online from Ocado here.
