M&S shoppers have been on the hunt for a pair of must-have trousers, after the retailer shared them on social media.
The pure Irish linen wide leg trousers cost £59 and come in two neutral tones. After posting a video of an influencer wearing them in different styles, customers rushed to the M&S website to buy them.
But My London News reports that people were left stumped after struggling to locate them online. However, the high-street brand quickly came to the rescue to resolve the issue.
The Instagram clip features fashion blogger Kim Turkington, who shared three different ways to style the garment. All outfits featured a pair of M&S Autograph Pure Irish Linen Wide Leg Trousers in Dark Almond.
The trousers are currently priced at £59, and are also available in the colour Soft White. Kim can be seen modelling the item alongside a white vest top, blue linen shirt; a black and white striped knitted vest; a denim jacket with a navy knitted vest, as well as a pair of black strappy sandals.
M&S posted item codes in the post’s caption to help out customers: “Three ways to wear linen trousers with @kimturkington_ #MyMarks. Linen Trousers– T508137T White vest top – T414261 Linen shirt – T252445M Striped knitted vest – T505197T Denim Jacket – T493088 Navy knitted vest – T386018 Strappy sandals – T022104.”
The Reel racked up over 79,100 views, 766 likes and 15 comments, with several followers saying they’re not able to find the linen trousers on their website. One person asked: “Can’t find the linen trousers. Is this the right code?”
M&S swiftly responded, explaining all shoppers will need to do is pop the item code into the website’s search bar. Others complimented the outfit choice, demanding the retailer sell the linen trousers in black and navy.
Another comment said: “Love every single one.” While a third wrote: “These look really good!” A fourth commented: “Maybe should go to M&S loving this look."
The Pure Irish Linen Wide Leg Trousers currently has a four out of five-star rating from 15 reviews, with previous buyers commenting that the material was 'great quality' but the sizing was not quite right.
One person wrote: “Great quality linen but felt sizing was out. For the first time ever had to size up!”
Another said: “Nice fit, but far too long, shame they do not come in 3 different lengths as other trousers sold in M&S, need to have shortened.”
There are a handful of alternatives out there for the linen trousers, too. ASOS currently sells Bershka high waisted wife leg linen trousers in sand for £29.99 and Topshop is selling Tailored co-ord peg leg linen-blend trousers in stone for £38.
Meanwhile, H&M currently sells Ankle-length linen trousers in light beige (as well as black, bright blue, black/patterned, and red) for £24.99.
