Shoppers have expressed their shock and disbelief at discovering that a popular food is available at Marks & Spencer for considerably less than at other major supermarkets. TikToker @Mafnetworkinglifestyle surprised people social media with the revelation, as the brand is generally seen as relatively expensive by many.
She made jaws drop when she showed that a pack of M&S 'Remarksable Value' High Welfare Chicken leg portions is just £1.20 for a 750g pack. She said: "Don't let anybody deceive you that Marks and Spencer's is expensive. I mean where can you find chicken for £1.30, even in Morrisons they are like £3."
The clip has been viewed over 680,000 times since being uploaded on Tuesday (Oct 25). And some people have refused to believe the price.

One user commented: "Nobody is fooling me. Marks is most definitely expensive." But others said they had recently discovered the same thing, especially if they "use M&S wisely".
A comparison of similar items at different supermarkets, carried out by MyLondon, showed that M&S chicken is indeed cheaper than at four major supermarkets. Morrisons British Chicken Thighs are currently priced at £2.80 per kilogram, which works out at £2.17 for the same weight as the M&S pack - 97p more expensive.
At ASDA, Succulent Chicken Leg Quarters are £2.09 per kilogram, working out at £1.57 per 750g, which is 37p more than at M&S. And at Tesco, British Chicken Legs would be 38p more than at M&S, at £2.10 for a kilogram or £1.58 for 750g.
Even at budget supermarket Aldi, Ashfields 100 per cent British Fresh Class A Chicken Legs are £1.99 a kilogram, which would be £1.49 for 750g. Only at Lidl were chicken legs found to be less expensive, with Strathvale Scottish Chicken Legs priced at £1.69 per kilogram - equal to £1.27 for 750g, 3p less than at M&S.
