Marks and Spencer has announced a brand new own-brand flavoured gin for the summer and shoppers can't seem to get enough.
The strawberry flavoured liqueur is being promoted as the perfect companion to a summery-themed cocktail with the supermarket giant even suggesting customers use it as a sweat treat ingredient. According to M&S, the gin combines "fresh, fruity natural strawberry flavour with subtle juniper, it's amazing served with our new strawberry and rhubarb tonic".
The gin comes in a fancy glass bottle decorated with strawberry and garden party motifs and is made by Warner's Distillery in Northamptonshire. Some of the cocktails the company recommends making with the gin include a fruity gin & tonic garnished with mint leaves, and a gin sour which includes lime juice.

Desserts can also be made with the boozy drink, with M&S recommending it as a topping on an Eton mess by soaking chopped strawberries in the liqueur for a few hours. It can also be used by the most serious homemade bakers by using it in a cheesecake miz to create a passion fruit gin cheesecake.
Fans on social media appear very excited by the newest addition to M&S line of alcoholic products, with one user writing: "This is amazing - am on my third bottle and we are only just at the start of summer!!!"
Another user wrote: "Its delicious, had some yesterday with lemonade, sliced fresh strawberries and a couple of sprigs of mint. On the hunt for cream soda, try that combo next." Meanwhile, another user wrote: "It is delicious! Served with lemonade, fresh mint and strawberries."
And another shopper said: "I bought some the other day it’s gorgeous" M&S' strawberry gin liqueur can be picked up from your local store or via the online store for £16.
