M&S launch King's Coronation snack that fans are calling a 'game-changer'

Marks and Spencer has launched a brand new snack to celebrate the King's Coronation next month that shoppers have hailed as "a game-changer."

With the Coronation of King Charles III set for Saturday, May 6, there are many among us who may be needing to pick up snacks for any parties they have planned. One such snack is a packet of crisps that has been given a royal makeover.

The Hand Cooked Coronation Chicken Crisps by M&S have went down a storm with fans after foodie Facebook group Snack News and Reviews shared a snap of them online.

Priced at just £1.50 for a 100g serving on the Ocado website, the savoury crisps are said to combine the flavour of juicy roast chicken with a mild kick of curry. Add on a jug of Pimm's and some sunshine, and you will have a royal picnic to remember.

It comes just as the high street retailer unveiled its Coronation Celebration Hamper with everything you need for the historic event. Including the Coronation Chicken Crisps, the hamper also features prosecco, sausage rolls, mini pork pies and much more.

Sharing the royal snack online, Snack News and Reviews wrote: "New Coronation Chicken Crisps at Marks and Spencer! M&S Bristol Eastgate."

Over 1,000 shoppers quickly liked the post, while nearly 900 flocked to the comments to tag friends and family in the snack that they needed to get for their Coronation picnics.

One shopper commented: "These might be a game changer."

A second raved: "OMG WOW."

A third tagged their friend and wrote: "I need to try these if your in."

And a fourth exclaimed: "Omg! Got to get these!!!"

And a fifth said: "I bet these are amazing!"

The Hand Cooked Coronation Chicken Crisps are currently no longer available on the Ocado website, but you can find them in your local M&S store. You can also view the full Coronation range on the M&S website.
