M&S boss unveils 'best time' for shoppers to snap up yellow sticker bargains

If you're wondering the best time to snap up bargains in Marks and Spencer, then one manager has shared the an essential tip you need to know.

With food costs continuing to increase during the cost of living crisis, it's understandable why many shoppers would consider the premium supermarket to be a bit out of their budgets. However, bargain hunters can find some reduced items if they strategise.

Luckily, one M&S boss responded to a social media user who shared how she'd been unable to find yellow sticker bargains. Danielle, who boasts more than 50,000 followers on her TikTok @charityshoplife, turned to the power of social media and found some insightful answers, The Mirror reports.

In the clip which has since been viewed over 150,000 times, Danielle asked her followers: "Fellow bargain hunters, when is the best time to get those M&S yellow stickers?"

"I see people on [TikTok] getting bargains all the time, but when I go it's like £2 off - and that was the best deal I could find!" She explained. "I usually go just before closing and there's nothing left."

One Marks and Spencer manager who stumbled across the video took to the comments section to spill the beans.

They wrote: "Manager at M&S here. We sticker through the night so at store opening, if there's loads it gets reduced again at 2pm unlikely though, usually sells!"

The commenter further clarified that, while the yellow sticker bargains are usually the final reduction shoppers will find, it can depend on each store.

Other shoppers agreed that it does depend on the store, as many flocked to the comments to confirm when they manage to find the bargains in their local store.

"My mum works in M&S and they do the second reductions between 3-4pm!", said one.

"4pm at my store is when we do second reductions", added a second.

"For my store we do everything but veg around 4 then veg at 6", wrote a third.

A fourth claimed: "Same at Waitrose, doesn't seem a pattern……trick is to ask the staff, they'll tell you and it might be store specific."
