M&S, Aldi, Tesco and Sainsbury's announce Valentine's Day deal prices and dates

Valentine's Day 2022 is nearly here and with it comes the seasonal dine in deals from UK supermarkets.

From heart-shaped chicken nuggets to cheap bottles of bubbly, the likes of M&S, Aldi, Morrisons and Sainsburys have revealed the dates and prices of their Valentine's meal deals in time for the big day.

The deals usually represent a saving on starters, mains, desserts and bottles of wine or Prosecco when they are bought together and M&S says last year's deal represents a saving of around £16.50 on average.

The deals will mostly be available in the week before Valentine's Day and throughout the month of February. We have rounded up everything you need to know below.

M&S Valentine's Day dine in deal for two

M&S has not yet announced its Valentine's Day dine in deal for 2022 and is instead offering a family tex mex deal. This is likely to change in the next few days.

The M&S dine in deal for two includes a three-course meal plus a bottle of fizz and a box of chocolates for £20. There are multiple options for the meals themselves with meat, vegetarian and vegan diners all catered for.

Last year M&S said shoppers saved £16.50 on the meals when compared to buying the components separately.

Mains included 21-day aged rump steak, duck breast, linguine and sea bass fillets.

Aldi Valentine's Day dine in deal for two

Aldi does not offer a set Valentine's Day deal but does offer a selection of food that can be bundled up yourself, with the cheapest coming in at less than £8.

The Aldi range has been revealed on the website but it will not be available in stores until February 10.

The range includes heart-shaped bread and camembert for starters, lamb shanks and vegan curry for mains and chocolate pots and white chocolate and raspberry cheesecakes for dessert, as well as white and red wine pairings.

Aldi also sells heart-shaped chicken nuggets and bouquets of roses in the run up to Valentine's Day.

Sainsbury's Valentine's Day dine in deal for two

Last year Sainsbury's offered three courses, plus a side and a bottle of wine (or chocolates) for two people, for £20 or under.

This year customers are able to choose a starter, main, dessert and drink. The offer will be available from February 9 until the March 1 2022 for just £15.

Sainsbury’s menu features over 30 dishes to choose from in the Valentine's Day range including two Taste the Difference sirloin steaks with heart-shaped butter, New York Vanilla cheesecake slices and an antipasto selection.

Sainsbury's promises a full range available soon here.

Asda Valentine's Day dine in deal for two

Asda's dine in for two deal is live now and includes one starter, one main, two sides, a dessert and a drink or chocolates for £15.

The mains, including sirloin steaks, lamb shanks, steak and red wine pies, and pancetta wrapped chicken breasts, serve two, while drink options include bottles of Prosecco, Malbec, Rose Cava, Pinot Grigio and more.

There are also vegan options including braised red cabbage and triple cook chips.

You can see the Asda deal here.

Tesco Valentine's Day dine in deal for two

Tesco has not revealed its 2021 meal deal yet. Last year Tesco said it was £5 better value than Tesco's 2020 and 2019 Valentine’s Meal Deals, which were priced at £20.

The £15 meal deal is likely to include one starter, one main, one side, a vegetable accompaniment and one dessert. A bottle of wine, Prosecco or non-alcohol alternative is also included.

The Tesco meal deal arrived in stores on February 8 last year and a similar date is expected this year.

You can buy it here.

Morrisons Valentine's Day dine in deal for two

Morrisons says its Valentine's Day meal deal will be in store from February 10-14, and available to order online from February 7.

The deal includes a starter, main, two sides, dessert and a drink, all for just £15. Highlights include Tear & Share Bread and Camembert, The Best Beef Wellington and the Best Vegan Belgian Chocolate Brownie Pudding. It also comes with a bottle of Prosecco or wine.
