M&S £39 dress worn by Holly Willoughby leaves fans divided

M&S shoppers have been left divided in their opinions on a recent product that was modelled by celebrity Holly Willoughby. The supermarket showcased the £39.50 animal print dress on its Facebook.

According to the Facebook post, it's cut to a regular fit for throw-on-and-go appeal, with a classic round neck and on-trend short puff sleeves. The caption on the post reads: "Our new collection, The Edit, is @hollywilloughby approved! How gorgeous does she look in this animal-print dress."

But many Marks and Spencer shoppers were divided over the new dress with some claiming it was "too much" and some really liking it, Birmingham Live reports.

One user said: "The dresses are awful. I keep on telling M&S to go back to their own uniqueness, don’t follow the new hideous fashion. The new dresses should suit Little house on the Prairie. I don’t honestly believe that Holly would wear this dress if she wasn’t paid."

A second added: "Really don’t know what to make of dresses at the moment. It looks like they’re designed for overgrown toddlers. Really horrible."

However, many fashion shoppers came to defend the dress claiming it was "gorgeous" and looked perfect for the summer. One shopper said: "I love this dress & can't understand why people would say it is frumpy as this style is all the trend at the moment & looks great with trainers/ankle boots & sandals. Roll on the summer & dresses like these"

And another said: "I like the neckline, print & loose fit. don't listen to the granny's, they're trying to exclude us from m&s so they can have the place to themselves in their elasticated not too tight trousers and v neck dresses."

Anyone who has been wow'd by the dress can see it here. But it's selling out quick.
