M&Ds Theme Park to create more than 100 jobs to help support local economy

Job seekers looking to swap the mundane 9 to 5 for a more exciting role could land their dream job with Scotland’s Theme Park who are hosting a special Recruitment Day to fill more than 100 new vacancies.

The Recruitment Day, which is suitable for people aged 16 and over, will take place on Wednesday, March 1 from 11am until 3pm within the Food Court.

Light refreshments will be provided and staff will be on hand to provide details of all the different job opportunities available which include ride operators, ticket office cashiers, arcade staff, coffee shop assistants, bar and waiting staff and many more.

Located next to Strathclyde Country Park, in Motherwell, M&D’s is one of Scotland’s top visitor attractions and features thrill rides and family rides, as well as activities for all age groups.

Special features include Amazonia, a temperature controlled tropical hot house of exotic animals, Devil’s Island Adventure Golf, Cosmic Bowl, a ten-pin bowling alley, and Krazy Congo Soft Play. There are also many food outlets to enjoy, from snacks to restaurant meals.

Jensen Taylor Connelly of M&D’s said: “We have lots of full and part-time vacancies that we are looking to appoint ahead of the official opening of the Theme Park this year on Saturday, March 25.

“There’s plenty of variety and flexibility in the hours people can work and no two days are ever the same. We have roles suitable for all age groups, from sixteen year olds to people who have retired and are maybe looking for something part-time. Training will be provided.

“There’s a great sense of community within the Theme Park which attracts people from all over the world and we also have many regular visitors we know well.”

People attending the Recruitment Day should report to the Information Reception and bring a copy of their CV. Alternatively, CV’s can be emailed to Julia Jardine at juliaj@scotlandsthemepark.com
