Romanian authorities have taken action against Andrew Tate, a controversial social media figure, by towing away a fleet of luxury vehicles from his residence near Bucharest. This move comes in the wake of new human trafficking accusations that have led to Tate's recent house arrest.

Andrew Tate, 37, and his brother Tristan Tate, 36, both former kickboxers and dual British-U.S. citizens, are facing charges of human trafficking and involvement in a criminal gang that exploited women. Andrew Tate is also accused of rape in connection with the case.

The impounded luxury vehicles, which included a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, McLaren, and a classic red Lada, were removed from the Tate brothers' property. This action followed a raid by Romania's anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, which resulted in the detention of six individuals, including the Tate brothers, and the seizure of cash, laptops, and data storage devices.

Despite claims by the Tate brothers' lawyer that the vehicle seizures are contested and unfounded, the legal proceedings continue. The brothers have denied all allegations and are determined to prove their innocence.

The latest investigation by DIICOT involves allegations of human trafficking, including the exploitation of minors, forming criminal groups, money laundering, and coercive practices to exploit vulnerable victims. The agency alleges that the defendants used the 'loverboy' method to force victims into producing pornographic content online, generating substantial profits that were retained by the perpetrators.

Andrew Tate, known for his significant social media following and controversial views, has previously been banned from various platforms for hate speech. He has consistently maintained his innocence, attributing the charges against him to a political conspiracy.

Authorities have previously seized assets belonging to the Tate brothers, including luxury cars, designer watches, and cash in multiple currencies. The total value of the confiscated goods was estimated at 3.6 million euros ($3.9 million).

Legal proceedings against the Tate brothers are ongoing, with a trial pending. A recent court decision prohibited the brothers from leaving Romania while awaiting trial, signaling the gravity of the charges they are facing.
