A LUXURY hotel overlooking the “home of golf” and offering guests “stunning” coastal views is set to open next year.
Previously known as the Scores Hotel, an iconic venue just minutes away from the first tee of the legendary Old Course at St Andrews, the Seaton House is set to open its doors and welcome guests in February.
Reviving the building’s original name, the five-star hotel aims to “cherish” a piece of the town’s beloved history as its owners want to ensure its “legacy” as a top hospitality destination is continued.
The hotel has 42 luxury bedrooms, six suites, and three junior suites while guests will be able to choose a sea or garden view, with five of the rooms having their own private terrace.
Guests and visitors to the hotel will also be treated to the region’s top produce as Scottish chef, Roy Brett, will bring his award-winning Ondine experience to St Andrews.
Along with the Ondine Oyster and Grill, there will also be The Board Room, a more informal dining experience, along with a bar which is inspired by local golfing legend Old Tom Morris.
Not only will the Seaton House offer its guests views of the Old Course but also panoramas of Fife’s stunning coastline including the scenic vistas of St Andrews Bay and West Sands Beach – the latter famous thanks to the 1981 movie Chariots of Fire.
The coastal town also offers many historic attractions, including St Andrews Castle, St Andrews Cathedral ruin, and the 600-year-old St Andrews University along with its golden beaches and world-renowned golfing spots.
