Police are appealing for witnesses after a plush car was intentionally set on fire in a residential area of Edinburgh.
The inferno on Greendykes Road was started deliberately according to the police, though the cause behind the mysterious incident is currently unclear.

Officers raced to the scene after 11pm on Wednesday night, where they found a silver BMW ablaze. Thankfully, the fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service with no injuries to the unsuspecting locals.
However, it has been stated that the lack of casualties was lucky as police search for more information to determine who started the fire, as well as their motivations behind it.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers in Edinburgh are appealing for information after a car was deliberately set on fire in Greendykes Road, Edinburgh.
"The incident happened around 11pm on Wednesday, 21 June, 2023, when a silver BMW was found on fire. The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured."
Detective Inspector Keith Fairbairn added: “It is fortunate that no one was hurt.
“We are appealing for anyone with dash-cam or private CCTV footage that could assist us with our investigation to contact us.”
