For those who are looking to get away or fancy a change of scenery, a luxury canal boat on the River Mersey 'Nauti Buoy' offers just that and more.
The new purpose built boat has ‘all the comforts that you would expect in a luxurious home’ but on the water. Designed as a couples’ retreat, Airbnb 'Superhost' Jake Thomas has already received an average five star rating from happy visitors.
It includes a modern shower room with a large shower, built-in fitted wardrobes, a dedicated workspace area and storage for cases. Visitors can enjoy breakfast at the breakfast bar in an open plan space or cosy up in the lounge with a wood burning stove and Smart TV.

'Nauti Buoy' has speakers all throughout the boat for music and an outdoor space at the front and back that’s ‘perfect for a cup of tea’ when you wake up. In the evening, visitors can hear the live music from the Marina Bar for a real atmosphere.
The canal boat is a short walk to the Liverpool Water Sports Centre, where you can often see people paddle boarding and kayaking on the waters outside. Described as an ‘utterly stylish’ boat by visitors, many reviewers have left positive comments on the Airbnb website.
One review read: “This accommodation is absolutely fantastic!! The boat is equipped with everything you could possibly need/want. The attention to detail in the decor, facilities and hospitality were spot on ! Jake (the owner) made us feel really welcome and honestly I can't think of anything that could have made our stay even better. If you're in Liverpool then this is the place to stay!”
A second said: “Absolutely stunning. Jake the host is so attentive and welcoming. The boat is flawless. Mod cons everywhere, decor beautiful, location awesome and just a huge 10 out of 10.”
A third review read: “Outstanding! Beautifully finished and presented with a great attention to detail, friendly host who couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable. As a night's stay it was truly unique, peaceful surroundings made for a perfect night's sleep, super cosy and comfy bedroom ensures a perfect night's rest. Would highly recommend it to anyone, a hotel room will never live up to looking out the windows to see the shimmering water. You won’t regret staying here.”
