Lush is giving away free bath bombs today - here's how to get your hands on one

It's World Bath Bomb Day, and what better way to celebrate than a fizzy and gorgeous-smelling bath bomb?

Did you even have a bath if you didn't post a video clip onto your Instagram stories of you dropping a bath bomb into the water?

Well today you can take it one step further. Lush is celebrating 33 years of bath bomb innovation by giving away 100,000 bath bombs away for free on Wednesday, April 27. While stocks last.

The bath bomb was invented on April 27 1989 when co-founder Mo Constantine pressed one in her garden shed.

She mixed together citric acid, sodium bicarbonate and a blend of essential oils, and then pressed them into a small ball to create the bath bomb.

But why make one yourself when you can get one for free today? Here is everything you need to know.

How to get a free bath bomb

To claim your freebie, all you have to do is head to your nearest Lush shop and speak to a member of staff.

They will help you choose from an overwhelming number of bath bombs, and whittle it down to a scent you love.

There are plenty of gorgeous bath bombs to choose from - from the eye-popping Intergalactic to the fruity-smelling Peachy. You can see a full list of the available bath bombs on the Lush website.

But that's not all, because if you live near one of three specific Lush locations, you can expensive the brand new limited edition "Book A Bath" experience.

Available for six weeks from today, April 27 until June 8, shoppers can now book a 30 minute bathing experience and 15 minute consultation for £40.

This experience is available at London Oxford Street, Liverpool and Bath branches only.

This is the ultimate luxurious switch-off, and is especially great if you don't have a bath at home.

The ultimate chill session includes a bath bomb, cooling eye patches and a face mask, complete with an immersive soundtrack.

The Oxford Street and Bath experience is inspired by The Lakes bath bomb, which is designed to help transport you to the Lake District with its floral and fir tree aromas.

Liverpool's bathing experience is inspired by the Diamond Dust bath bomb. Imagine a disco ball in your bathtub while you sip a cocktail.
