Lush has announced plans to invest £7.6m this year on new shops, relocations and redesigns across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
The British cosmetics retailer last week agreed a new 15-year lease at 98 Buchanan Street, at a rent of £900,000 per annum.
The building extends over the basement, ground and three upper floors, totalling approximately 20,000 sq ft.
Lush plans to open the new flagship store next year.
In 2014, Lush opened a store across from its existing premises in Glasgow, agreeing a 10-year lease for the former Bench outlet at 78 Buchanan Street.
Between now and next June, the brand is working on nine new shops across the UK and Ireland, including Dumdrum, Ipswich and London Victoria station.
There will also be 23 across Europe, including eight in France, five in Germany, and further projects across Spain, Hungary, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, Italy and Czech Republic.
Lush has already completed on 16 new shops, shop relocations and refits since the end of January, including shops in Leicester, Boulogne, Paris, Madrid, Dublin, Budapest, Berlin, the Mall of the Netherlands and Bluewater shopping centre.
Paul Wheatley, Lush's global property director, commented: “Since the opening of our first shop in 1995 in Poole, customers have constantly been at the forefront of everything we do – from product invention to customer service.
“Physical retail has always been important to us, as it enables us to provide our customers with exceptional service.
“Our shops are a space for the local community to get together, our retailers and shop colleagues are involved in their local communities and we believe that high streets have the opportunity to become community hubs.
“Our goal is to keep things exciting for the customer with a flexible dynamic of retail and digital - but being experiential is not enough, you have to be inspirational.”
