Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has joked that he won't miss David de Gea's taste in music following the latter's departure from Old Trafford.
The goalkeeper confirmed his exit from M16 on Saturday afternoon, issuing a lengthy statement on social media to confirm that he had left the club. His contract expired on June 30 and he and the club were unable to reach an agreement over fresh terms.
His exit has brought his 12-year stay at Old Trafford to an end, meaning he will be looking to soon get snapped up and test himself elsewhere. United, of course, are already well into their search for a replacement and are looking to tie up a deal for Andre Onana.

De Gea made 545 appearances during his time at United, winning eight major trophies, including the club's last Premier League title in 2013. He also won the Premier League's Golden Glove twice, including last season.
It is why De Gea, despite the increasing levels of criticism he faced towards the end of last term, has departed M16 with the legendary tag hung around his neck. Players and fans have messaged the Spaniard in their droves on social media to wish him well and thank him for his service over the past 12 years.
But despite all of the well wishes he has received, Shaw, who is now United's longest-serving player, being snapped up from Southampton back in 2014, could not resist making a tongue-in-cheek comment in response to De Gea's exit. Taking to Instagram, the left-back said it was an "honour" to have served alongside the shot-stopper, but admitted that his music will not be missed.
Shaw said: "An honour to play alongside you over the last nine years. A United legend. Good luck in your next chapter, you will be missed (but not your music)."
Shaw, presumably, was never impressed by De Gea's taste in music, which was presumably played inside the dressing room on matchdays or in and around the training ground. The goalkeeper, 32, will now have ambitions of being quickly snapped up by a new club and getting ready for the new season.
United, of course, will kick off their pre-season schedule with a trip to Norway on Wednesday to face Leeds United in Oslo. That will mark the first of eight friendlies that the Reds are scheduled to play ahead of the big kick-off on August 14.
