Luke Littler Wouldn't Swap 10 Darts Titles For World Championship

Luke Littler has sensationally claimed that he wouldn’t swap his ten darts titles for the PDC World Championship.

Littler hit double figures on Sunday night (November 17) as he trounced Martin Lukeman 16-3 in the final of the Grand Slam of Darts.

His latest triumph means he is now a teenage millionaire. The total prize money he has banked is understood to be well over the seven-digit mark.

After victory in Wolverhampton, the 17-year-old sensation scooped another £150,000. His total career earnings will continue to skyrocket at his current rate of success.

Some reports suggest he could even rival the earnings of former Premier League star David Beckham. Littler’s commercial appeal will see him earn millions away from the oche, too.

‘The Nuke’ has already penned a lucrative contract with boohooMAN amongst others. Many more offers will be in the pipeline as he builds his darting empire.

Littler is looking to cap off a fine 2024 after landing ten titles – two of them majors – by winning the Players Championship Finals this weekend.

Luke Littler Wouldn’t Swap 10 Titles For World Championship Success

Speaking on talkSPORT to Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent on Monday (November 18) – Luke Littler brazenly admitted he would not swap his 10 titles for the PDC World Championship.

Goldstein grilled him on the drive home show whereby Littler explained he will have plenty of chances for success at darts biggest event at Ally Pally. And it’s hard to disagree with him.

Littler famously burst onto the scene at the 2024 event. At the time, he was ranked 164th in the world. Now, he is the 9/4 favourite to win the extravaganza in 2025.

The then 16-year-old went all the way to the final whereby he was beaten by compatriot Luke Humphries. Since then, Littler has become the most popular name on the darts circuit.

Luke Littler Says His Life Has ‘Changed Massively’ In 2024

Appearing on Sky Sports News on Monday (November 18), Littler discussed how he deals with fame and popularity. Including if he doesn’t get recognised walking down the street.

Not really! Warrington is only a small town and you’ll get spotted everywhere. I don’t mind taking pictures and seeing all the fans,” he told presenter Mike Wedderburn.

When quizzed about what he does to unwind after a tournament, Littler was happy to explain the secret recipe to what helps him switch off.

Just chill, go out somewhere for some food and just have a laugh with my friends. Obviously, it was a long eight or nine days down in Wolverhampton so I had some of my friends down from the quarters to the final.

I didn’t take my Xbox with me so I’ve been playing that all day today! Now, I’m just seeing my friends.”

When asked if he enjoys the fame, Littler admitted what most 17-year-old sports stars would likely say: “I enjoy it, yeah. It’s all about seeing everyone. Whether it’s at the shop or at the airport.

You get the odd person (that sees me) that looks, takes another look and then they don’t want to ask (for a photo). Most of the time I just say ‘get a picture with me.'”

Wedderburn asked Littler about his beloved Manchester United, asking if he was excited about the new era under Ruben Amorim.

I’m excited to see the back three and how it pans out. Obviously, the way people are talking is that the players have got to track back and defend and help the team out so I’m looking forward to it.”
