Luke Littler's Celtic appreciation amid Jota transfer return

Darts sensation Luke Littler appears to have been pleased with Jota's return to Celtic

The PDC Darts World champion took to social media to convey his delight that the Portuguese winger is back in Glasgow.

The 25-year-old attacker completed his £9m transfer from Rennes to the Scottish Premiership champions yesterday, with Kyogo heading in the opposite direction.

Jota spoke to the media at a press conference for his unveiling.

Here, he insisted that his disappointment in Saudi Arabia had not diminished his passion for football.

On Celtic's TikTok account, though, as they announced Jota's return, Littler expressed his feelings.

He commented: "Jota on the wing," accompanied by two dancer emojis, as the 18-year-old appeared to make his Scottish football allegiances clear.

Littler, who was crowned world champ earlier this month, is renowned as a Manchester United fan, and has been spotted at Old Trafford many times.

Maybe, the next time he is in Scotland for darts, his travels could take him to Celtic Park!

Upon his return, Jota said to the media: "I’m one of the last romantics of the game. I enjoy the game so much and I’m so obsessed with it. I will try to do things that people will be happy about, will love and admire.

“I'm not against it (making money). But I think in life you always need an ambition and something to go after. I feel that for me right now is to get success in football terms and to be the best version of myself inside the pitch.

“I can't speak on behalf of other players because everyone is different, but football comes before money for me, always comes first. People might not believe this, but I have to say what's true to myself. I love the game, I breathe the game and I live for the game.

“My aim coming here is to stay, to enjoy myself, to be happy on the pitch, to give happiness and joy to the fans and to just have a good time by conquering titles and achieving important things.”
