Country star Luke Bell has been found dead in Tucson, Arizona, aged just 32.
The star had been reported missing over a week ago after last being seen before August 20. It's claimed Luke suffered from bipolar disorder and had recently changed his medication. However, no official cause of death has been revealed yet.
His death was confirmed by police who said the Glory and the Grace singer's body was found on August 29. The Tucson-based Coroner's Office said the star's date of death would have been August 26, and an active investigation is said to be underway.
The sad news of his passing was first confirmed by his pal and fellow musician Matt Kinman. In a blog post for Saving Country Music he wrote: "We came down here to Arizona, to work down here, play some music, and he just took off.'
"He was in the back of the truck. I went in to get something to eat. I came out, and he’d got out of the truck and left."
Fans of Luke posted comments of condolence on the star's social media page following the news. One user wrote: "Rest in piece mr rattle snake man."
Another penned: "So so sad, his light burnt so bright but too fast," while a third said: "Gone way too soon, hope you have found peace."
According to Saving Country Music, Luke first had the idea of making a go of a music career after a chance meeting with singer-songwriter Pat Reedy. He then moved from Laramie to Austin, Texas to pursue his dreams.
Despite originally struggling, he released a self-titled debut album in 2012 before following it up with Don't Mind If I Do in 2014. His last album came in 2016, around the same time he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
His final concert appeared to come in 2017 in France. It's that performance at the Equiblues Festival in Saint Agreve which was his last post on Instagram.
His last single was released in 2021, titled Jealous Guy.
