Lukasz Fabianski is looking forward to a busy March and believes West Ham can push on after weathering a difficult start to the year.
The goalkeeper admitted that January and February had been tough months for the club, but after a return to form and a huge three points against Wolves the No.1 is excited for the remainder of the season.
Fabianski praised his team for picking up points during their "tricky spell" and believes that the win over Wolves can be a turning point in West Ham's season.
"We had a tricky spell where we didn’t play well but we managed to get some points," Fabianski said. "It’s always important to stay unbeaten even though you don’t play well.
"We were getting some points, some draws, some wins, that maybe didn’t look good. But I think today was hopefully more like a turning point for us and we are going to get back on the right track.
"We are very pleased with the way we played, with the ball as well. We played from the back, through the lines. I think that was something we worked really hard on and it looked like it paid off. Hopefully we will continue to develop our game in a different way as well."
West Ham had a number of chances to make the 1-0 scoreline more comfortable than it looked but in truth Wolves offered little threat due to the superb work of the Hammers defence, with Kurt Zouma and Craig Dawson in particular excelling.
"They were very impressive," Fabianski said. "They [Wolves] didn’t have many chances. They had some good ones, but Dawson, Kurt and all the other boys they were blocking so many shots that they only managed to get one on target.
"That is always very important, to have a solid base when you are defending and it always gives you something from the game. We are very happy with the overall performance today."
The Pole added: "It was a massive win, but I think we deserved the win. We played really well. We created a good amount of chances. I think we pressed well. We were good with the ball. It was a very pleasing performance and a very important three points"
With the return of European football and an FA Cup tie in March West Ham are set for a minimum of six matches in 18 days and Fabianski is ready for what lies ahead.
"Every month is very important. You can’t really say: ‘We can take it easy in this one’. Obviously, the amount of games will be a little bit more because we had quite a not so busy January, February as well wasn’t really that busy," Fabianski said.
"But we are going to have a very, very difficult period in terms of how often we are going to play games. It is always very demanding, but we are going to stay competitive and try to do our best."
