Mavericks star Luka Dončić proposed to his longtime girlfriend Anamaria Goltes on Friday night in Lake Bled, Slovenia, the couple announced on Instagram.
Dončić proposed to Goltes on a fitting date, July 7. The date of 7/7 aligns with the No. 77 the 24-year-old star wears with the Mavericks.
Whether that happens to be a coincidence or not remains to be seen, but it seems clear that Dončić is enjoying the NBA offseason back home.

Meanwhile back in Dallas, the front office is hard at work in free agency adding talent to the roster.
The Mavericks re-signed point guard Kyrie Irving, who they acquired at the trade deadline last season. Dallas also added former Celtics forward Grant Williams in a three-team sign-and-trade agreement and signed him to a four-year contract. The Mavericks previously selected Dereck Lively out of Duke as the team’s top 2023 draft pick last month.
Next season will be Dončić’s sixth in the NBA. He’s averaged 27.6 points per game to go along with 8.6 rebounds and 8.0 assists over his first five seasons with Dallas. He’s been named first-team All-NBA three times and has made four All-Star Games.
