Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has reportedly been offered to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund following the shocking news that forward Sebastien Haller has been diagnosed with a testicular tumour.
The German outfit took to social media on Tuesday evening to announce that following a series of medical examinations, undertaken by the club's medical staff after Haller felt unwell, the 28-year-old had been taken ill and left the pre-season training camp for further tests carried out.
But reports from Sky German have suggested that former Anfield ace Suarez could be the man head coach Edin Terzić turns to in a bid to ease the burden the Frenchman's absence will bring upon the Yellows' forward line.

"First of all, it's very sad news about Sebastien Haller, who has been diagnosed with a testicular tumour, but we know that he's in the best hands," said Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg.
"Our information here in Germany is that Luis Suarez has been offered to Borussia Dortmund from different agents and now the club is considering what they do with that possibility. It could be that Haller has to be replaced in the next weeks and months."
Suarez is currently a free agent after being released by Atletico Madrid last month following after two years at the Wanda Metropolitano, where he helped the club topple Real Madrid and Barcelona to win La Liga, and has recently been linked with a dramatic return to his boyhood club in Uruguay, Nacional.
The Uruguayan became a star during his time on Merseyside between 2011 and 2014 as his 82 goals for the club nearly took Brendan Rodgers' side to Premier League glory after a thrilling title race in 2013/14. However, he departed Anfield in 2014 to join Lionel Messi and Neymar at Barcelona, where the trio would form one of the finest forward trios the modern era has seen.
From Dortmund's perspective, it remains to be seen how long Haller, who only signed for the club in June, will be out of action for following his diagnosis but it's clear he will more than likely miss the opening months of the season at the very least.
On Tuesday evening the forward took to social media to thank the footballing world for the messages of support he had received since the news became public.
"I want to thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all these many warm messages received I was very moved to see these beautiful reactions and I even feel like I don't deserve so much," he wrote.
"But I know that thanks to you it will only be one more test on our way. See you very soon in the ground to celebrate our next victories. Thank you all for your many messages of support and affection since yesterday's announcement. My family and I thank you. I will now focus on my recovery to come back stronger."
