Luis Sinisterra's first words after joining Leeds United as he makes promise to supporters

New arrival Luis Sinisterra has admitted he cannot wait to showcase his skills for Leeds United. The Whites confirmed their sixth summer signing on Thursday afternoon by completing a deal - believed to be worth around £21million - for the Columbian international.

Supporters desperately need of a lift after losing Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City earlier this week. Reports also continue to link talisman Raphinha with a move to Barcelona - a saga that has plagued the transfer agenda at Elland Road since last summer.

However, fans were given a boost when Leeds confirmed the signing of Sinisterra, one of the continent’s brightest talents. A winger, the 23-year-old bagged 12 goals in the Eredivisie last season as Feyenoord finished third.

Sinisterra also impressed in the Europa Conference League, bagging six goals in 12 games to guide his former club to the final. That would turn out to be his final appearance for the Dutch outfit as he embarks on a new challenge in Yorkshire.

Speaking to LUFC TV, the winger confessed he is relishing the chance to experience the Elland Road atmosphere as he promised to bring his 'quality' to the fans. “I am very happy to be here in this beautiful club,” Sinisterra said.

“I know it’s a historic club with beautiful fans. I heard a lot of things about the stadium and atmosphere, it’s amazing so I can’t wait to feel that in person.

“It was my dream when I was a child (to play in England), right now I am close to making that. I will work to bring this quality to Leeds. I want to do the same or even more for this team and the fans.

“I think it is also one of my characteristics. To enjoy and make the fans happy with my skills, my quality… and hopefully I can do that here at Elland Road.”
