Luis Sinisterra has experienced a tumultuous debut season at Leeds United. He has been plagued by multiple injury problems, but also showed glimpses of his quality with three goals in his first three starts for the club.
The Colombian international landed at Elland Road from Feyenoord with a big reputation. He had just posted 23 goals in 49 games during his final season in Rotterdam, and had played a crucial role in leading them to the UEFA Europa Conference League final.
He was named in the Europa Conference League team of the season, and was also voted the competition's Young Player of the Tournament. Nevertheless, Sinisterra had to be patient before making his breakthrough in the Netherlands, and also admitted he found it difficult to acclimatise during his first year at Feyenoord.

"Yes, I always knew I had the potential to achieve what I have achieved now. In the first year I just had to be patient," Sinisterra revealed in an interview with Feyenoord's official magazine in June 2022.
"There was a group that got the trainer's confidence, so I had to wait for my chance, although I didn't know when it would come.
"In the meantime I had to get used to life in the Netherlands, the language, the food, you name it. In retrospect, I am grateful for what happened then, because it made me stronger.
"I have always continued to invest in myself, you should eventually reap the benefits of that. I think I did that last season."
Sinisterra has been reduced to just 16 appearances for the Whites this term, and has scored four goals and contributed one assist in the process.
He marked his return from injury with a brief cameo from the bench in Leeds' 2-2 draw against Brighton at Elland Road earlier this month. The winger will now be looking to start afresh under Javi Gracia, and can use the international break to step-up his recovery after being left out of Colombia's squad.
