Former Arsenal, Manchester United and Netherlands striker Robin van Persie has heaped praise on Leeds United’s new signing Luis Sinisterra. The winger is the club’s sixth signing this summer and joined on an undisclosed fee which is believed to be around £21million.
Van Persie was approaching his final season as a professional footballer when Sinisterra arrived from Colombian side Once Caldas in July 2018. While the veteran forward drew the curtain on his career in style with 16 goals in 25 matches – Sinisterra was limited to just five Eredivisie appearances due to injury.
The 23-year-old has improved season upon season since van Persie hung up his boots in 2019 and Sinisterra’s arrival at Leeds has received his former captain’s nod of approval.
