Mohamed Salah says he is "not asking for crazy stuff".
Jurgen Klopp is "very positive" about "good conversations".
Ramy Abbas Issa has not been shy over issuing cryptic - and fairly blunt - messages to FSG.
Even Dejan Lovren has weighed in on the situation with a pair of zipped-mouth emojis.
But until the ink is dry on a new Liverpool contract for the Egyptian King, there will be concern among the Reds fanbase over what happens next.
And that is where new recruit Luis Diaz potentially comes in.
Liverpool haved hijacked a Spurs move and signed the Porto winger after some fast work behind the scenes from club staff.

Liverpool will pay an initial £37m fee with a further £12m in add-ons.
Diaz was a target Jurgen Klopp had identified as a first-choice option for summer 2022.
But matters quickly accelerated with interest from elsewhere and Porto in need of cash.
Diaz, 25, has lit up the Primeira Liga this season, shined on the European stage and thrived at international level for Colombia.
There are plenty of reasons for fans to be excited after FSG made their move.
And it may also help the club with Salah's situation.
Negotiations over his new contract have dragged on for some time, with other senior stars sealing deals and extending their stays at Anfield.
Stumbling blocks are not hard to imagine.
The best player in the world is undoubtedly seeking a salary that matches his status.
Liverpool know full well what Salah is worth, but the club also values dressing room harmony and a fair wage structure across the squad.
As Klopp himself recently said: "Things take time. There are so many things you have to do, and by the way there is a third party: the agent is there as well.
"But there’s nothing to worry about – it’s a normal process. Mo has a contact here this season and next season. Nobody has to worry, it’s just the situation.
"All fine, not done, but we had talks. He’s a world-class player, unbelievable player, did a lot of great stuff for Liverpool. Of course we want to keep him, and let’s see how it will work out.”
But is there more to it than money?
Salah has certainly expressed that view.
LUIS DIAZ: Daniel Levy 'furious' after Liverpool moved for Colombian as John Henry claim made
Back in December, he told Egyptian media he he wants to "to stay in Liverpool" yet hinted at wider factors in play.
Salah explained: "The decision is in the hands of the management and they have to solve this issue.
“There is no problem but we have to reach an agreement for the contract. It’s up to them.
“Your financial value shows how much the club appreciates you and that they are ready to do anything for you to stay, but the decision itself is not based on those financial matters only.
“There are things like the ambition of the team and the coach and what he wants to do with the team and the players he wants. These are all important points when making the decision."
Was Salah suggesting he wants Liverpool to add extra quality to their ranks before committing his peak years to the club?
If so, many supporters would back his stance.
This is arguably the greatest Liverpool team ever assembled.
It would be a shame if there were not more trophies collected in the Klopp era.
And what better way for FSG to show "ambition" than a January swoop for a star like Diaz as they compete for silverware on four fronts?
Diogo Jota had already turned Liverpool's deadly front three into a fantastic four.
Throw Diaz into the mix and - for a while at least - it becomes a truly fearsome five.
Granted, that attack will not be together forever.
But it could be some ride in the meantime.
And just like Jota's arrival, the signature of Diaz at least shows Liverpool are thinking about the future.
There is currently further depth in reserve too, with Kaide Gordon breaking through and seemingly no immediate plans for Divock Origi or Takumi Minamino to move on unless strong bids emerge.
Midfield issues are starting to creep in and should be assessed in summer.
But there is no doubt that a January deal for a forward is a bold and welcome move.
And if it also helps answer a question Salah has been asking, Diaz may be about to play the perfect assist that every single Liverpool fan is desperate to see.
