Luis Diaz gives injury update and sends exciting message to Liverpool fans

Luis Diaz has send a message to Liverpool fans on Friday morning as he confirms he 'hopes' to make a return from injury 'soon'.

The Colombian has been missing since injuring his knee in the 3-2 loss at Arsenal back at the beginning of October and had to undergo surgery in December after aggravating the damage.

Liverpool briefly welcomed back Diaz in their Dubai training camp in December, but, after returning to training, the 26-year-old had a relapse and was forced to go under the knife.

Diaz had been one of Liverpool's better players in a season that has seen them struggle massively in the Premier League and his return cannot come soon enough for Jurgen Klopp.

The Colombian spoke to Sky Sports on Friday morning: "Hello Liverpool fans. I hope to be back soon."

Klopp's squad has been given a boost by the returns to Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, Virgil van Dijk and Arthur Melo to various forms of training.
