The internet’s favourite bad boy, Luigi Mangione, made his first public statement since his arrest on his new website launched by his legal team.
The website’s homepage features Mangione’s statement which reads: “I am overwhelmed by — and grateful for — everyone who has written [to] me to share their stories and express their support,”
“Powerfully, this support has transcended political, racial, and even class divisions, as mail has flooded [the Metropolitan Detention Centre] from across the country, and around the globe.
“While it is impossible for me to reply to most letters, please know that I read every one that I receive.
“Thank you again to everyone who took the time to write. I look forward to hearing more in the future.”

The website was created by Mangione’s legal defense due to the “extraordinary volumes of inquiries and outpouring of support,” towards Mangione.
The website also includes any and all updates concurrent with Mangione’s ongoing case, the list of attorneys, information on how to send Mangione letters, and a link to Mangione’s legal fund.
Mangione has been charged with murder and terrorism for the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December 2024.
The 26 year-old is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Centre (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York.
Mangione’s legal fund has amassed nearly $400k via crowdfunding, and his actions have received both praise and condemnation.
American singer-songwriter Ethel Cain also expressed that “violence begets violence,” in regards to Thompson’s murder and in an Instagram Story last month.
“Nobody is getting visited by the ghost of Christmas future, no one is having a change of heart.
“It’s simple, you make them fear for their lives and hit them in the only place they hurt or nothing will ever get done.”
Chappell Roan has similarly called for artists to be provided healthcare by their music labels in her Grammy Award speech last month.
“I told myself if I ever won a Grammy and I got to stand up here in front of the most powerful people in music, I would demand that labels in the industry profiting millions of dollars off of artists would offer a livable wage and healthcare, especially to developing artists.
“Labels we got you, but do you got us?”
Mangione has pleaded not guilty to state murder and terror charges, with his next court date being February 21.
