Luigi Mangione enjoyed a Christmas dinner of cornish hen and green beans while being held on murder charges in New York.

Mangione, 26, is accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on Dec. 4. He is being held at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), a federal facility in New York.

Mangione sleeps on a two-inch mattress, and depending on whether he is still in protective custody, he might have spent Christmas alone, according to PEOPLE. The outlet reported details of Mangione's detention, including his Christmas meal.

Meanwhile, Brian Thompson's family, which includes two children, spent Christmas without their father. The CEO, from Minnesota, was killed while walking to an investor's conference in Manhattan. His killing has caused a mixed reaction throughout the country, with many using his death as an opportunity to vent their frustration about the health insurance industry. Some individuals have attempted to raise money for Mangione's defense.

Mangione faces murder and other charges related to the killing.

The MDC houses several high-profile prisoners. Other MDC inmates include Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is facing a variety of sex-related charges. Sam Bankman-Fried, the crypto-currency fraudster, is also housed there, PEOPLE reported.
