Lufthansa Cancels Flights To Tel Aviv And Avoids Iraqi Airspace

Germany’s Lufthansa airline has announced the cancellation of its flights to Tel Aviv until Saturday morning, citing security concerns in the region. The airline also stated that it will be avoiding Iraqi airspace as a precautionary measure.

LOT Polish airlines has followed suit by canceling its Friday flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut. The airline has not scheduled any flights to Israel for Saturday and will make a decision regarding Sunday flights on Saturday.

Lufthansa is set to resume flights to Tel Aviv and plans to once again fly through Iraqi airspace starting from Saturday at 1 a.m. ET (8 a.m. in Israel).
