LUDHIANA: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Sunday reached Ludhiana to preside over a rally in which party will reveal it's chief minister's face for Punjab elections.
After landing at Halwara Air force Station around 12.30pm, Rahul proceeded for lunch towards a five star hotel.
The Congress leader was driven to the hotel in a car being driven by former PPCC president Sunil Jakhar. CM Charanjit Singh Channi & Congress state president Navjot Singh Sidhu were sitting in the backseat.
According to sources Gandhi through this lunch diplomacy will apprise all three of them about the decision of CM face which he is publicly going to announce later at the rally.
Meanwhile traffic snarls were witnessed on Ferozpur road which leads to both, the resort where rally is scheduled to take place and also the five star hotel where Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders went for lunch.
The highway leading to the resort was decorated with the big hoardings of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.
At several spots party had made makeshift arrangements for workers & supporters to watch the live streaming of the Rahul Gandhi's rally.
