Lucy Mecklenburgh has surprised fans by admitting she doesn't plan on moving in with fiancé Ryan Thomas - after they are married.
Ex Coronation Street actor Ryan, 35, popped the question to reality star Lucy, 28, on a romantic trip to Italy in June after two years of dating.
The loved-up pair currently live apart and Lucy said they have no plans to change this when they become man and wife because it's what 'works best for them.'
Lucy owns a property in London while Ryan resides in his hometown of Manchester in order to be close to his 10-year-old daughter Scarlett, who he shares with ex partner Tina O'Brien.
According to The Sun, Lucy opened up about their unconventional living arrangements during a Q&A with fans.
She is said to have told them: "We will always have 2 homes north and south.
"It works well for us right now and we don't see it changing anytime soon."
Their situation mirrors that of Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow who caused much debate last month after revealing she chooses to l ive apart from her second husband Brad Falchuk.
After tying the knot in September, the pair have preferred to keep to their own separate houses in Los Angeles. Gwyneth described it as the best thing for them, adding: "All my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn't change a thing."
While Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton famously lived in separate sides of a co-joined property during their 13 year relationship.
Defending their decision, Helena said: "We see as much of each other as any couple, but our relationship is enhanced by knowing we have our personal space to retreat to."
Last month Lucy and Ryan celebrated their engagement with a huge boat party on the Thames surrounded by their family and friends.
Romantic Ryan had popped the question back in July after whisking Lucy on a no expense spared trip to Italy.
Sharing details of the intimate moment with fans on social media, Ryan revealed he'd selected a private dining area in their five star Villa Treville hotel overlooking picturesque Positano .
The former CBB star had planned everything down to a fine detail with their table lit by romantic candlelight and fire lanterns.
Surrounded by pink roses with the twinkling Italian coast in front of them, Ryan asked Lucy to be his wife.
He later shared the snaps on Instagram, with the caption: "Welcome to the family."
Ex TOWIE star Lucy announced the happy news on Instagram with a snap of the pair kissing. She captioned the picture: "I said YES!" With a ring emoji.
The pair met on TV show Survival Of The Fittest in 2017 - with Ryan later saying he had fancied Lucy for three years before he met her.
