Lucy Kennedy has revealed she was "mortified" and "didn't know where to look" while attending a sex party for a new documentary.
Famed for sharing the homes of celebrities in her hit show Livin' With Lucy, the Sandycove star is stepping out of her comfort zone with a four-part series, Lucy Investigates' on Virgin Media. The documentaries explore diverse topics such as sex in the suburbs and life online. And for the first show, which explores sex in Ireland, Lucy donned a mask and met a real life dominatrix.
"It was always going to happen, you know I am a saucy little minx," Lucy joked with RSVP Live. She added: "Sex parties exist in all seasons and in every county in Ireland. It is a real insight into life in Ireland.

"As I always do, I am asking the embarrassing questions while slightly cringing. I learned to be open, or at least more open, about sex.
"If we don't educate young people and if we don’t open up the conversation, things can go wrong for them. I had an interesting interview with a sexologist and she explained everything, which made it less embarrassing. That embarrassment is built in us as Irish people."
While Lucy admitted she was "mortified" filming the show, she also encouraged Irish people to be open minded and less judgemental when talking about sex.
She said: "I wore a mask and I didn’t know where to look. I was mortified and I spent a lot of time looking at my nails.
"I spent a lot of time with a dominatrix and I got to see what she does. There were a lot of water cooler moments.
"But it is not a sleazy documentary, it is about real life and real people in Ireland in 2022. Nobody should judge anyone I spent time with them because they are not hurting or harming anyone, they are just doing their own thing."
Lucy has been working on the shows since March and they will air as part of Virgin Media's new season.
"It is a four part documentary series, four one hour shows on subjects I feel are possibly more prevalent than ever," she said.
"The first episode is about sex in Ireland and I investigate how we have evolved since Gay Byrne first talked about sex on The Late Late Show."
