Lucky pilot emerges unscathed after crash landing plane upside down in field

A lucky pilot was left unscathed after crash landing a plane upside down in a field.

The incident took place at a field near Tacoma in Washington State, USA, on 26 October, as the pilot manage to climb out the aircraft unhurt.

Cops said they received a report at around 1pm that a plane had crashed in a field near the Sterino Farms produce market.

Police officers and firefighters arrived at the scene and located the crashed plane – lying upside down in the field – as well as the pilot.

Fortunately, the unnamed pilot, the only person onboard the two-seater aircraft at the time, was uninjured in the crash.

No one on the ground was hurt and no buildings were damaged, according to police.

The federal authorities have been informed and will carry out an investigation into the cause of the crash.

Facebook users had a lot to say after the bizarre images of the aircraft lying on its roof in the field were shared online.

One user commented: “I'm no expert but that looks like a perfect upside down landing!”

Someone else said: “I give you a 10 for stunt landing! Glad all is safe.”

“Anybody can land on the landing gear…only the best can slide it in upside down! Glad everybody is ok!” wrote another user.

“One should usually land with the round things on the bottom but as long as no one was hurt. Still less paperwork the other way,” remarked another person.

Someone else commented: “I would venture the pilot tried to land properly but flipped once he/she met the ground. Glad pilot and structures are all okay.”

Another user suggested that the pilot “needs to go buy a lotto ticket!”.

The plane crash comes just a week after a small commuter plane crashed into a car dealership in Ohio last Tuesday.

Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed the 1974 Beechcraft King Air E90, which can carry up to ten passengers, crashed into the Pionner Buick GMC dealership parking lot at 7.15am in Marietta killing the pilot and a passenger.

The airplane, owned by Intel Management, was flying from Columbus, Ohio to Parkersburg, West Virginia when it crashed just after 7am.

Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed the plane crash killed two people.

They said in a statement: "The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Marietta Post is investigating a fatal plane crash that was reported this morning at 7:15am.

The crash occurred at the Pionner Buick GMC dealership parking lot located at 1000 Pike Street, Marietta in Washington Country.

"The preliminary investigation shows the plane was a 1974 Beechcraft King Air E90.

"The pilot and a second occupant sustained fatal injuries. There are no reported injuries to individuals who were on the ground.

"There is reported damage to multiple vehicles and buildings at the dealership. The crash remains under investigation at this time."
