One lucky Lotto winner has scooped the £5.3 million jackpot in Wednesday’s draw. They were not the only big winner, with another ticket-holder bagging £1 million for matching five numbers plus the bonus ball. An estimated £3.8 million prize is up for grabs in the draw on Saturday.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, said: “What amazing news, one ticket-holder has won tonight’s fabulous £5.3 million Lotto jackpot. Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call to claim this amazing prize.”
The exact jackpot sum won was £5,355,727 after a rollover. The winning Lotto numbers in Wednesday’s draw were 01, 07, 10, 30, 40, 53 and the bonus ball was 02. Set of balls 10 and draw machine Lancelot were used.
A further 66 people matched five numbers to net themselves £1,750 each. No players matched all five numbers to win the HotPicks, which uses the same numbers as the Lotto draw, but six matched four numbers to claim £13,000 each.
No-one was lucky enough to scoop the Thunderball £500,000 top prize, but one player won £5,000 by matching five numbers. The winning numbers in the Thunderball draw were 02, 06, 16, 31, 35 and the Thunderball number was 01.
Mr Carter said: “National Lottery players make a huge difference to National Lottery Good Causes across the country, generating more than £30 million every week. Thanks to National Lottery players, over £1.2 billion has been distributed to date across the UK to help tackle the impact of coronavirus.”
