Winning the lottery is a dream for many, but few are lucky enough to ever win big.
One such ticket holder has won £1million but has yet to claim it. Whoever won the prize needs to make themselves known as time is running out.
According to the National Lottery, all winnings must be claimed within 180 days after the day of the draw. On April 1, the EuroMillions ticket in question matched the UK Millionaire Maker code which was TVCV 85411.
Purchased in the Trafford area of Greater Manchester, experts are optimistic that the winner will get to claim their prize.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery said: "Time really is running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money.”
The association are urging everyone to check old tickets purchased around this time in Greater Manchester. “Look anywhere a missing EuroMillions ticket could be hiding,” said Andy.
"This life-changing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there.”
The mystery winner needs to call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 to claim by Wednesday, September 28, 2022 if they want to keep their £1million. If they fail to come forward the prize money is withdrawn and the ticket becomes invalid.
If unclaimed the money will go on to help National Lottery-funded endeavours across the UK. The lottery funds a variety of projects including mental health and wellbeing support and environmental restorations.
Players who use the website or app are automatically emailed if their ticket is a winner so you will never miss out should you win. This is great for those who like to play but forget to check their tickets after the draw or are prone to losing them.
