A popular convenience store claims two lucky customers splashed out £12,000 on 12 bottles of a rare Prime energy drink.
Wakey Wines owner Mohammed Azar Nazir regularly posts to Instagram and TikTok with thousands following the goings-on at the Yorkshire shop. One of his latest videos has attracted more attention than most with an eyewatering price-tag.
The video features two awkward looking customers who this time say they have travelled from Sheffield to the shop. In the video it is claimed that the pair have paid £12,000 for a case of a new flavour of Prime.
The off-licence in Marygate, Wakefield, first gained more than 500,000 followers on TikTok when it released videos of the owner selling Logan Paul and KSI's Prime drink at extortionate prices. The shop has divided opinion and Mohammed Azar Nazir has faced criticism for overcharging people, reports Examiner Live.
Prime has been a huge success for the two influencers who first released their sports drink to the public in early 2022. They have now revealed the long-awaited release date for the next upcoming flavour of Prime - Lemonade.
The pair were seen giving a preview of the new flavour in the US earlier this month where they gave away a limited number of bottles for free. Logan Paul ended a recent vlog with the announcement that it will be officially released on Monday, May 15.
Mohammed Azar Nazir claims in the video that he is charging £1,000 for each bottle of the new Prime flavour. He says that he has two cases of the new drink and sold the entirety of one to the 'lucky' lads from Sheffield for £12,000.
With 12 of the bottles now sold, Wakey Wines only has 12 left and in the video it is said that they won't be kept on site overnight. It appears that extra security has been laid on at the shop just to protect the 'valuable' bottles.
