From generation to generation, Ludwig van Beethoven has been considered a legend of music history. His name has been placed on a pedestal, his music transfigured into something sacred. And there is no better band to convey Beethoven's music than the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the oldest in Switzerland. As part of Bangkok's International Festival of Dance & Music supported by the Embassy of Switzerland and Institut auf dem Rosenberg, classical music fans should not miss "Lucerne Symphony Orchestra: A Night With Beethoven" on June 24 at the main auditorium of the Thailand Cultural Centre.

This marks the first concert in Thailand by the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, a band which is led by world-class German conductor Michael Sanderling who has experience conducting most of Europe's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic and Munich Philharmonic. The performance will be joined by Augustin Hadelich, a Grammy Award-winning soloist who is currently ranked the best violinist in the United States. At the coming performance in Bangkok, Lucerne Symphony Orchestra will perform Beethoven masterpieces including Violin Concerto In D Major and Symphony No.5 In C Minor.

The performance starts on time. Latecomers will not be allowed to attend the performance, and no refunds or cancellations will be allowed.

A free shuttle bus from Thailand Cultural Centre MRT Station Exit 1 will run from 5-6.30pm. No cameras, no videos, no audio-visual recordings are allowed. Children under the age of five are not permitted in the auditorium.

The concert also requires everyone to wear a face mask at all times.

Tickets prices range from 1,800 to 7,500 baht and are available at thaiticketmajor.com/bangkokfestivals.
